Title : Automatic Fog Detection with Alcohol Detector

Abstract : In India, 10,000 lives were lost in fog-related road crashes and 12,000 lives were lost in drink and drive cases. Most of the accidents are caused due to drink and drive. Many works have also been done on it and some are even implemented. This proposed system also reflects on the other side of road accidents too that are caused due to fog. This system is a combination of both, the major causes of accidents that is drink and drive and fog accident cases. So now the main aim of this system is to reduce these accidents by using the new technology which includes sensors for detecting fog as well as alcohol. The fog sensors detect the fog around the car in the front and get switch on the fog lamps automatically so that the driver can see through the fog whereas coming to the alcohol sensor placed above the driver’s seat will detect if the driver is drunk. If the driver is not drunk then the driver can start the vehicle or else the car would not start. The technologies used in this proposed system are Arduino Uno R3, DHT11 Sensor and MQ-3 Sensor.
